A man described by the City County Drug Task Force as a reputed street-level drug dealer in Scotland Neck was arrested today following an undercover buy.

Captain A.M. Harris said the operation, which took place on Main Street shortly before 1 p.m., was based on several complaints the task force received as well as deputy information received in the past.

Following the operation, the task force, with assistance from an undercover agent, arrested and charged Fruiqwan Rodman, 27, for possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, sell cocaine, and deliver cocaine.

Rodman, who Harris said reportedly has a past history of selling drugs, received a $6,000 bond and March 23 court date.

The state Highway Patrol, Corporal M. Almendarez and Deputy D. Epperson of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office assisted, along with Scotland Neck Police Department Patrolman C.T. Parker.
