Detective D.C. Dickens said Benjamin D. Hoskins, 35, has family ties to Florida.
He posted bond Wednesday on misdemeanor larceny counts in which two chainsaws and an automotive timing light were stolen from his former employer and apparently fled the state afterward, Dickens said.
For the motor vehicle break-in and larceny, which occurred in the Aurelian Springs area, he faces charges of felony break or enter a motor vehicle; larceny after breaking and entering; felony possession of stolen goods and two counts of larceny of a firearm. He reportedly took ammo and magazines as well.
