The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is investigating the armed robbery of an East Tenth Street convenience store Tuesday night.

Police declined to specifically name the store.
Captain Bobby Martin said the person pictured in the security camera still entered the store shortly after 10:30 p.m. armed with a handgun and demanded money. The clerk complied and the person left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
The person is described as standing between 5-feet, 8-inches to 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighing between 150 to 170 pounds.
