On Friday around 7:30 p.m. Master Officer D. Norfleet was in the area of Highway 158 and Smith Church Road when he observed a vehicle in the roadway. The driver, later identified as Reginald Levern Bradley, 50, appeared to have passed out and the engine of the vehicle was running.

Norfleet conducted a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and determined Bradley was impaired.
At the police department Bradley, of Roanoke Rapids, consented to a breath analysis and registered a .19.
A magistrate charged him with DWI.
He received a $500 bond and June 14 district court date.
