Sue Crutchfield Boone, 76, died August 27, 2021 at Vidant North Hospital.
Mr. Larry Wayne Brown, 70, of Roanoke Rapids died Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Pruitt Health Hospice in New Bern.
Mr. Brown was born in Halifax County on December 7, 1950, a son of Richard Laverne and Mary Coleman Brown. His parents; brothers, Ronnie and Gene; and sister, Bonnie Casey all preceded him in death.
Mr. Brown spent his career in the military, having first served in the US Army, then enlisting and serving in the US Navy. He also enjoyed music.
Survivors include his wife, Pearlie Ann Brown; son, Steve Brown (Barbee); daughters, Mandi Brown and Angie Jenkins; step-daughter, Lisa Jenkins; step-son, Cliff Jenkins (Rhonda); grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Cecil Brown, Louis Brown, Ellen Riggan and Carolyn Skinner.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.
The funeral service for Mr. Brown will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, August 31, 2021, from the graveside at Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
The service will be recorded and posted later for viewing on the Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service Facebook page.
