Sonja Jean Jones Liagoure Kidd, 86, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 in PAM Health in Rocky Mount. 

 Mrs. Kidd was born on July 1, 1940, in Halifax County.

Surviving include her son Michael Liagoure and his wife Tamiko, their children Brittany Liagoure, Michael Liagoure, Jr., Abony Williams, and great grandchild Danny Rhodes, Jr.; her daughter Stephanie Jean (Liagoure) Brown and husband Arnold, their children Jereme’ Wade Brown, Heather Lynn (Brown) Matthews, husband Millard lee Matthews, and their children Cheyenne Leigh Matthews and Ellie Jean Matthews, with another great-grandchild unborn Delilah Lynn Matthews, and her daughter of Winchester, VA, Victoria Kidd Armstrong, husband Gregory Armstrong and grandchild Lydia Berghoff-Kidd.
