Syretha Pulley Medlin, 83, of Roanoke Rapids, died Thursday, January 28, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.
Syretha was born in Roanoke Rapids, the daughter of the late Odell and Albert Pulley.
She was a textile worker at JP Stevens, baker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister Crystal Lee Sutton; brother Bobby Pulley; daughter Sherry Carpenter; and granddaughter Stacey Carpenter.
Syretha is survived by her children, Jan Brantley (Ricky), Donald “Buddy” Medlin, Jerry “Punk” Medlin (Rita), Odell Rita Vaughan (Donnie), Carol Craft (Kevin), Carl Medlin (Nikki), and grandchildren, Ricky “Buck” Wayne Brantley, II, Christie Brantley, Tara Medlin, Hunter Medlin, Wendy Rook (Wayne), Joshua Medlin (Bonnie), Lisa Bradley (Michael), Danielle Sloop (Justin),
Melody Craft, Megan Browder (Travis) and Joey Medlin. Also surviving are 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Rev. Randy Martin will conduct a graveside service Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 11:00 am in Cedarwood Cemetery.
