Carroll Julian Carlyle, 77, of Lake Gaston, born January 10, 1944, passed of  COVID early Sunday morning, March 7, 2021. 

He was born in Halifax County, son to Alice Marie Carroll Carlyle, now 97, and the late JesseJulian Carlyle, who passed away December 08, 2001. 

Mr. Carlyle was a pipefitter/welder, for his working career. He was a graduate of Weldon High School, 1963 and a Navy veteran (1963-1967). 

Surviving is his mother, Alice Marie Carroll Carlyle of Weldon; brother, Charles Raymond Carlyle, Sr. (75 yrs old) of Weldon; sister, Diana Marie Carlyle of Roanoke Rapids Lake; one and only daughter, Brandy Gail Hutcheson and husband, Troy of Florida; 4 grandchildren, Kala, Gus, Troy and Braylee; cousins, Glenda Carroll Roberts of Lake Gaston and her daughter, Lori Surry, Clyde Carroll and wife, Terry of Wilmington, Marty MacDonald of Greenville, NC, Ann Carroll Chockley and husband, Joe with their son, Andrew, Linda Carroll of Rocky Mount, NC, Betty Joe Carroll of Ennice, NC and Don Carroll of Galax, VA., Keith Carroll and wife, Charlotte of Lake Gaston and Lex Carroll and wife, Suzan with their son, Ivan of Enfield, NC; niece, Kimberly Dinese Carlyle of Lancaster, PA. and nephew Charles R. Carlyle, Jr. of Pittsburg, PA; great niece, Savannah Alverez and Maja Carlyle and great nephews, Kenneth Alverez, and Joey Carlyle.

Also surviving are special friends, Wendy McCourry of Virginia and Tommy Johnson of Roanoke Rapids Lake 

Rev. Jimmy King will conduct graveside services Thursday, March 11,2021, in Cedarwood Cemetery, Weldon, NC, at 2:00 pm. Per COVID restrictions and CDC guidelines, social distancing and facial coverings are suggested.
