Morene Miles Little passed from her earthly home to her Heavenly home on Saturday, November 5, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Betty Brown Miles; her husband of 67 years, Bobby Earl Little, who died June 23, 2020; brothers, Wilson (Lois), Raymond, Douglas (Edna); and sisters, Josie Pruden and Mary Williams.

Morene was a homemaker, and also retired as secretary at Little and Jenkins Garage.  

She was a faithful member of Quankie Baptist Church for many years where she taught a Sunday school class and sang in the choir.  

She loved working in her vegetable garden and flowers.

Survivors include her son, Terry Little (Carla) of Littleton; daughter, Cindy L. Thompkins of Wake Forest; grandchildren, Elizabeth L. Inscoe (Jamie), Melissa L. Garrett (Michael), Terri L. Jones (Eli), Allison T. Whitley (Brandon), Tracey T. Bradford (Mike); nine great-grandchildren, Tucker, Kellie Jo, Lannie, Emma, Taylor, Callie, Harper, Logan, Lyam; brothers, Ellis Miles (Ethel), Charles Miles (Jonnie), Don Miles (Rachel); and sisters, Nora Warren (Fats), Emily Luter, Dorothy Ennis (Jim), Betty Clary (David).

The service to celebrate the life of Morene Miles Little will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 7, 2022 at Quankie Baptist Church, with Pastor Mike Barrett presiding.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 – 10:45 am Monday, prior to the service.

Those serving as pallbearers are Don Miles, Tucker Inscoe, Michael Brafford, Michael Garrett, Eli Jones and Jamie Inscoe.    

Honorary pallbearers are Ellis “Bo” Miles, Charles Miles and EC Warren.
