Hilda Beryle Leggett Bishop, 86, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 in ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC.
Mrs. Bishop was born on May 20, 1937 in Halifax County, the daughter of the late Hattie Abernathy Leggett and Wille Leggett.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Calvin Ray Bishop, her sister Marie Harrup, and her grandson Ryan Lee.
Mrs. Bishop loved Cooking, Reading, and shopping. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Surviving include her two daughters: Debra Hinesley (James) of Plainville, GA and Bonnie Jones of Roanoke Rapids; her two sons: Randy Butler of Roanoke Rapids and Don Butler of Plainville, GA; her two brothers: Don Leggett (Marian) of Mechanicsville, VA and James “Jimmy” Leggett of Burlington, NC; her grandchildren: Jason Jones, Heather Ricks, Tiffany Sulsberger, William Butler, Christy Gordon, Brandon Lee, and Caden Butler; her great grandchildren: Neil Jones, Dylan Jones, Zach Marrow, Conner Marrow, Lauren Sulsberger, Ryan Sulsberger, Mila Butler, Dylan Terry, Rainey Finch, Elijah Gordon, Colt Gordon, Kalie Lee, Nathaniel Ash, Danielle Lee, Ava Lee, Alexia Lee, and Reagan Lee, and her great great grandson: Brayden Morrow.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 21, 2023 in Victory Baptist Church with Pastor Jeremy Kobernat officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.
