ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon Women's Basketball senior Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C. / Halifax Academy) has been named to D3hoops.com's annual preseason All-American list. Williams was named to the group's All-American Second Team.

Williams returns to the hardwood after suffering an injury last season. Before missing the rest of the year, Williams averaged 19.3 points-per-game and 15.1 rebounds-per-game. As a sophomore, Williams was the ODAC Player of the Year and was named an All-American by three different organizations, including D3hoops.com. She was the ODAC Rookie of the Year as a freshman as well.

Williams will join fellow seniors Charlotte Woods (Richmond, Va. / Trinity) and Michal Ross (Glen Allen, Va. / Glen Allen) on the floor this season. Both were All-ODAC Second Team selections last season. While Williams will not play in the opening weekend, the Garysburg, N.C. native plans to return in the first half of the season.

The Yellow Jackets open with the R-MC Tip-Off Classic presented by Riesbeck Contracting. R-MC faces Vermont Tech on today (Saturday) at 6:00 PM. The Yellow Jackets will then face William Peace on Sunday at 3:00 PM. ODAC peer Eastern Mennonite will play the opposite schedule of R-MC as 8:00 PM and 1:00 PM respectively.
