When the Weldon High School Chargers arrived at Rocky Mount Prep Friday they already knew that the game was going to be intense.

Despite the contribution from Jaheem Parker (44 points and 16 rebounds) wasn't all that the Chargers needed to top the Jaguars, who went on to win 89-82. The final score is proof of how the entire game went. Both teams wooed the crowd with a lot of 3 points buckets, leaping rebounds and fancy ball handling. There was even some highlights of questionable calls that had the crowd confused. The jaguars came off of the tipoff prepared for the show down against the Chargers who handed the Jaguars a loss earlier in the season. Coach Handsome got great support from starters Lynch. Brickell, KJ and Vincent. Reserve J. Manley also gave Handsome some good moments tonight.

In the earlier contests Coach Odom's JV team outlasted the Jaguars 76-66 with 3 players in double digits.

In the girl's contest Coach Grady was able to play his reserves more than he played the starters.

The Chargers will travel to Southeast on Tuesday and will be at home on next Wednesday and Friday (SENIOR NIGHT).The lady Chargers cruised to a 70-14 win.
