Apartment developer pulls rezoning request

The developer of a high-end apartment complex on Cross Creek Parkway has withdrawn his rezoning request from further consideration by the city, Roanoke Rapids Planning and Development Director Kelly Lasky told council at its work session this evening.

A steering committee that will help guide the city’s future growth got their first introduction into the issues they will be dealing with for the next several months.
