The lifesaving efforts of a Davie volunteer firefighter and a Halifax County Sheriff’s Office deputy were recognized at Monday night’s board of commissioners meeting.
The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Bobby Martin:
A person or persons claiming to be a deputy with the Halifax County Sheriff's Office has been calling residents saying he is attempting to collect money from people who failed to report for jury duty.
Elijah Lee, a KIPP Gaston College Preparatory student who holds an annual child abuse awareness march, is reaching out to the community to help create a pediatric safe room at Halifax Regional.
