A breaking and entering on Caroline Avenue in Weldon was solved and the alleged suspects taken into custody Monday morning.
Lieutenant Chris Davis of the Weldon Police Department said the call was received just before 10:45 a.m. that suspicious activity involving two men was happening at the residence of 80 Caroline Avenue.

Story, left, and Boone.
When police arrived movement was heard in the woods and one person described as a black male was observed.
Chief Mark Macon headed to County Road to cut the person off as the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
One person in the woods told police he was coming out. That person, Eddie Boone, was searched.
As police dealt with Boone investigators noticed a rear window had been popped out and the house broken into. A diamond ring and digital camera were taken but have not been recovered. They were most likely tossed in the woods, Davis said.
The sheriff’s office spotted the other person, Andra Story, and both Roanoke Rapids men were charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods.
Both were jailed on $3,000 bonds.
