Roanoke Rapids police have issued warrants for the arrest of a man allegedly involved in a drive-by shooting at Bobby's Supermarket in the Rosemary area Friday afternoon.

Shots fired from a .357 struck two vehicles causing quarter panel damage to both, a Mazda and Honda.

Collie Davis of Church Street was seen by Officer Roy Ball and Detective Tommy Hathaway wearing all black and running to an apartment on Oak Street.

The officers heard the shots but had no evidence at the time to charge Davis An Oldsmobile came by to pick Davis up and he was allowed to leave.

Shortly after that Officer Chris Biggerstaff reported that Davis was allegedly identified as a suspect in a shooting that occurred at Bobby's shortly after 4 p.m.

Investigation resulted in Ball finding a .357 under a trash can and warrants were obtained for the 20-year-old Davis's arrest.
