The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the identities of two men who allegedly robbed the Green Store on Highway 48 of two bags of dog food.

The theft was reported Monday shortly after 1 p.m. and occurred a few days earlier, according to Lieutenant Bobby Martin.

Both suspects.

One man wearing all black entered the store and picked up a 50-pound bag of dog food. The man began to exit the store but the clerk told him he needed to pay for the food. The man told the clerk that he was coming right back because he wanted two bags.

The man exited the store and returned, grabbed a second bag and left the store again while another suspect distracted the clerk.

The two appear to be working together and the man who allegedly distracted the clerk is wearing a white shirt and black hat.
