KapStone Paper and Packaging Corporation recently awarded Jessica D. Webb, a rising senior at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, a $5,000 scholarship.

The KapStone College Scholarship Program was established in 2011 to assist employee’s children with continuing their education.  A third party, Scholarship Management Services-a division of Scholarship America administers the scholarship program.

Webb

Webb is a 2009 graduate of Northwest Halifax High School.  She is majoring in Chemistry and plans to pursue a career in medicine.

Her collegiate achievements include Dean’s List, 2012 Organic Chemistry Student of the Year, Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad Scholar, 2012 Pre-Med Scholar and Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Student (ABRCMS) Physiology Research Award.

She studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2011.  She is a member of the Alpha Mu Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated; she was honored at the sorority’s North Carolina Spring State Meeting for academic excellence.

She is the daughter of Reginald and Fredia Webb of Hollister. Her father is employed at the Roanoke Rapids Mill in B-Mill.
