An alert neighbor helped the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office quickly solve and arrest two people allegedly involved in a breaking and entering in the Weldon area.
Detective R. Somogyi said the sheriff’s office received the report Monday.

When deputies arrived the suspects, later identified as Motique Jackson, 19, and Wilson Green, 16, both of Weldon, had fled.
Investigation by Somogyi, however, led to their arrests, Deputy D. Radford locating Jackson and Lieutenant Neil Aycock locating Green.
Both were charged with breaking and entering. Jackson received a $1,000 bond and Green a $2,000 bond.
They have September 19 court dates.
