Two men were arrested for a breaking and entering that occurred around the lunch hour on Stack Powell Road Wednesday.

The victim was home at the time but was not harmed, according to Detective O.L. Wiltsie of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.

A description of both the alleged suspects and the vehicle they were in was given. Wiltsie said in a press release he saw the vehicle within minutes on Highway 48.

The men, Andra Lamont Story, 22, and Jamarkus Daquan Brown, 19, both of Roanoke Rapids, were charged with breaking and entering and conspiring to break and enter.

Story was jailed on $20,000 bond and Brown on $10,000 bond. They have September 26 court dates.

Deputies B.C Griffin, T. Clark, A. Harris, J. Keeter and Lieutenant Doug Pilgreen assisted in the investigation.

Wiltsie said the sheriff’s office is investigating to determine whether the men may be linked to other break-ins that have occurred within the last week.
