Two people in Seaboard are confirmed dead in a pair of shootings that have yet to be connected the Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald is reporting.

The Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald has a reporter on the scene as of early Sunday afternoon and witnessed one body covered up along the railroad track. Local Seaboard police, along with the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office and SBI, were on the scene just after the shooting occurred late Sunday morning.

One home on Pine Street was in the line of fire, perhaps struck as many as 12 times. The owner of that residence was at home at the time of the shooting, but was not injured.

There are no reports as of this time concerning arrest(s) in this case.

Sunday’s deadly shooting comes on the heels of a home invasion Friday night in Seaboard where a young man was shot and killed.
