A Roanoke Rapids man was served warrants today for a September 6 attempted larceny from an area business.

Dillon Wayne Brigman, 19, faces charges of breaking and entering, two counts of attempted larceny, three counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, injury to personal property and common law obstruction of justice.
Detective J. Sealey of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said the arrest follows an investigation that began last month when Brigman allegedly tried to steal multiple items including tools and wires from a Roanoke Rapids business.
Sergeant R. Keeton while on patrol in the early morning hours of September 6 located the suspect’s vehicle at the business and was able to recover the stolen property at the scene.
In addition to the charges associated with the breaking and entering and attempted larceny, Brigman received the obstruction of justice charge after he allegedly reported his vehicle stolen after Keeton located it at the business, Sealey said.
Brigman was jailed on $8,000 bond and has a November 28 court date.
