The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is requesting information leading to the arrest of Omar D. Ponton and Vontray Antonia Hughes.

The men have warrants stemming from firing a gun into an occupied vehicle in the south Weldon area in the latter part of October.

Detective J. Sealey said no one was injured but the car was struck. He declined to discuss motive in the case.

The men are known to frequent the south Weldon and Garysburg areas.

Both are charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied moving vehicle and injury to property.

Ponton is also wanted for a probation violation and assault by pointing a gun.
