A Roanoke Rapids man who sent lewd photos to a boy will spend three years on supervised probation and must register as a sex offender after accepting a plea bargain earlier this month.
Court records show Raymond Michael Baker, 42, at the time of his arrest last year, pleaded guilty to indecent liberties with a child and disseminating obscene materials to a minor under 16.
For the indecent liberties charge he was given a 16 to 29 months in prison, a sentence that was suspended in lieu of the three years supervised probation, court records indicate.
For the obscene materials charge a six-month to 17-month sentence was also suspended.
Six months of the supervised probation will be under electronic monitoring.
A charge of prostitution of a minor was dismissed, according to court records.
