A complaint Saturday night led to the arrest of a Roanoke Rapids woman on marijuana and heroin charges.

Corporal J. Clark and Lieutenant George Evans of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office went to Ironwood Drive off West Tenth Street following a drug complaint around 9:15 p.m.

Jessica Casey, 23, gave the officers consent to search the residence, according to a press release from Chief Deputy Wes Tripp.

The officers charged Casey with maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possessing up to a half-ounce of marijuana and possessing heroin.

She was given a $5,000 bond and July 3 court date.

Crystal Raimondi, who was also at the residence, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and has a June 12 court date.
