A Jackson man has been identified as the person who allegedly pulled a box cutter on a man who gave him a ride Friday afternoon.
Roanoke Rapids Police Chief Chuck Hasty said Jeffrey Brad Timberlake II, 29, is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
Detective Bobby Martin has drawn up warrants for Timberlake's arrest for robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Martin said this morning the victim was familiar with Timberlake.
When they got to the Spring Street area at the Highway 158 intersection, Timberlake reportedly forced the victim against the car door and robbed him of $50, the detective said.
If anyone has any information on Timberlake's whereabouts they are encouraged to contact Martin at 252-533-2810 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
