A Jackson man who allegedly pulled a box cutter on a man who gave him a ride Friday was arrested Tuesday.
Detective Bobby Martin of the Roanoke Rapids Police Department said Jeffrey Brad Timberlake II was arrested by the Northampton County Sheriff's Office in Woodland.
He was returned to Halifax County around 3 p.m. and jailed on $30,000 bond, Martin said. “We appreciate their assistance.”
Martin drew up warrants for Timberlake's arrest for robbery with a dangerous weapon.
The victim who gave the 29-year-old Timberlake a ride was familiar with him, Martin said Tuesday.
When they got to the Spring Street area at the Highway 158 intersection, Timberlake reportedly forced the victim against the car door and robbed him of $50, the detective said.
