Larry Otto Newsome, 64, of Garysburg, is wanted on outstanding warrants for larceny and possession of stolen goods, according to Roanoke Rapids Police Chief Chuck Hasty..

On May 15, Master Officer Gorton Williams responded to investigate a larceny at Advance Auto Parts.

Williams was told that a man took a car battery from the store without paying.

Williams developed Newsome as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest.

“Mr. Newsome is encouraged to turn himself in,” Hasty said in a statement.
