Luther Allen Terry has entered a plea in federal court and his sentencing is tentatively scheduled for the January 4 term, records show.

A minute entry filed shows Terry will enter a guilty plea of the lesser offense in count 1 and count 2 will be dismissed.

Count 1 of Terry's indictment charges on or about April 16, 2014, he did knowingly and intentionally distribute a quantity of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of Weldon High School. The second count charges the same crime was committed the following day in the Ransome Circle community of Weldon.

Meanwhile, Gerald Whitaker, who was indicted the same day as Whitaker, has his arraignment set for the November 16 term of court.

Whitaker faces two counts of selling heroin.
