The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office arrested RaQuan Williams, 20, of Woodland, for a June residential breaking and entering in which a window air conditioning unit was stolen.

Captain M.D. DeLoatch Sr. said Williams was arrested while he was in court on unrelated charges.

He was charged with two of counts felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, and injury to personal property.

At the time of his arrest around the first of the month he was given a $9,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court October 29.

“I would like to commend Detective Sergeant Patrick Jacobs for a job well done,” Sheriff Jack Smith said in a statement. “He spent numerous hours investigating this case. The Northampton County Sheriff's Office will continue to investigate any crimes that are reported to this office. We encourage the citizens to continue to report any suspicious activity or behavior in their neighborhoods.”
