The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chuck Hasty:

Monday October 12, 2015

At approximately 4:30 p.m., Lieutenant Jeff Baggett responded to a suspicious activity call in the parking lot of Walmart.

Baggett located Tiffany Gayle Calcutt, 25, of Skippers.

When Baggett attempted to talk with her, she got in her vehicle and left.

Baggett conducted a vehicle stop near the lawn and garden area and discovered the woman took items from the store without paying.

Baggett arrested and charged Calcutt with larceny, possession of stolen goods and contributing to the delinquency of a minor because she had her child with her.

She received a $500 bond and a January 22 court date.

Master Officer Gorton Williams and Officer Jeffrey Mason assisted.

At approximately 5 p.m., Mason responded to a larceny call at Walmart.

Loss prevention said Casey Lynn Powell, 32, of Roanoke Rapids, took items from the store without paying.

Mason arrested and charged Powell with larceny, possession of stolen goods and trespassing and also arrested and charged Jason Aaron Wallace, 33, of Roanoke Rapids, for aid and abet larceny and trespassing.

Powell received a $20,000 bond and Wallace a $10,000 bond.

They received October 30 court dates.

Wednesday October 14, 2015

At approximately 12:15 a.m., Master Officer Mark Peck responded to a disturbance call in the 900 block of Cedar Street.

Peck encountered Rakillya Chartrice Wiggins, 23, of Roanoke Rapids, who had outstanding warrants for arrest for assault.

When Peck attempted to arrest Wiggins, she tried to flee.

Wiggins was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, stalking, disorderly conduct, damage to property and resist, delay and obstruct.

She received a $1,500 bond and a November 4 court date.

Officer Greg Colson assisted.

Probation Absconders located and arrested

At approximately 1 p.m., Baggett and Officer Dale Strickland located Jerome Terelle Seabreeze, 23, of Roanoke Rapids.

Seabreeze was wanted by the North Carolina Department of Public Safety Probation and Parole for a violation.

While processing Seabreeze, it was discovered that there was an outstanding Governor’s Warrant out of Virginia for his arrest.

Seabreeze was jailed without the opportunity for bond and received an October 28 court date.

At approximately 1:45 p.m., Sergeant Mike Moseley and Mason located Roy Slate Flagg Jr., 40, of Roanoke Rapids.

Flagg was wanted for a violation, and was also charged with resist, delay and obstruct for attempting to elude arrest.

He received a $2,000 bond and an October 28 court date.

Thursday October 15, 2015

At approximately 5:30 p.m., Mason encountered Arkies Ty-kill Sommerville, 18, of Roanoke Rapids, on Medical Center Drive.

During the contact, Sommerville told Mason he had a gun in his front pocket.

Mason retrieved it and placed Sommerville under arrest for carrying a concealed weapon.

Sommerville received a $500 bond and an October 30 court date.

The weapon ended up being a replica BB Gun.
