A Thursday morning home invasion in the Enfield area of Low Ground Road has Halifax County Sheriff's Office investigators looking for three men all dressed in black and their faces covered by masks.
A firearm was stolen in the heist, according to Detective Willie Murphy Jr., and the victim in the case was rushed and tied, but loosely enough they could get free.
The robbery occurred just before 11 a.m. when three men, described by the victim as possibly black males, forced their way into the home. The victim, 59, who was immediately rushed, could not determine whether the men were armed.
In a statement Murphy said various items, including a firearm, were taken.
He said the victim described one of the intruders as having a slender build and standing around 6-feet tall.
The only getaway vehicle description the victim gave was it sounded loud, like it may have had an after-market exhaust system installed.
Investigation shows the vehicle may have went in the direction of Highway 481.
