A Garysburg man is wanted for an assault which occurred in the Highway 158 area of Roanoke Rapids.

Investigator B. Nutt of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said warrants have been obtained for the arrest of Robert Darrell Dunlow, 43, for kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and communicating threats.

The charges stem from a December 5 matter in which Dunlow reportedly assaulted the victim during an argument over money, Nutt said.

The victim was treated and released.

Dunlow sometimes works out of the former Cuckoo's Nest building on Highway 158, the detective said.
