Jackets football win season opener with new coach

The Roanoke Rapids High School Yellow Jackets football team finally got to open their 2020-21 season Monday night at home at Hoyle Field with first year head coach Chris Lyons.

The Jackets earned the confernce game over the Louisburg Warriors 38-21. The Jackets saw the first half end down 21-13 and with senior quarterback Bennett Liverman suffering with an injury. No update on Liverman's injury at time of this post.

Roanoke Rapids continue thier season Friday night on the road facing South Granville.
