KapStone Kraft Paper Corporation’s Roanoke Rapids Mill experienced significant flooding as a result of the storms that passed through the area this morning, the company said in a press release.
Eleven inches of rain that fell since at least 4 this morning has caused severe damage, mainly in the Roanoke Rapids area.
Rochelle Pond has exceeded its capacity and we are experiencing major flooding across the city, according to the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.
