A Norfolk man wanted by the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is now wanted by Roanoke Rapids police for the larceny of a Lincoln Town Car several hours after the vehicle he and a Courtland woman were in was stopped by a deputy Friday night.
In announcing her retirement, District Attorney Valerie Asbell released the following statement Monday evening:
A Courtland woman was arrested and a Norfolk man is being sought after a Halifax County Sheriff’s Office stop Friday night in Roanoke Rapids.
North Carolina’s Statewide Tornado Drill is scheduled for Wednesday, March 9 at 9:30 a.m.
Halifax County Schools Superintendent Eric Cunningham and the system’s curriculum and instruction team completed the middle of year walkthrough.
