A man who has been on the lam following an April breaking and entering was caught Thursday at a residence on Huckleberry Bottom Road.
One of the men allegedly involved in the crime, which occurred in the Littleton area, was apprehended in May, according to Detective R. Somogyi of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation that led to the arrest of Gene Tyler Jones Jr., 20, of Littleton, also led to an arrest warrant being issued for Jackie Putney Jr., 23, who is also of Littleton.
Jones was charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods and larceny of a firearm.
Thursday the sheriff’s office received a tip that Putney was at the Huckleberry Bottom residence off Thelma Road.
Somogyi, along with members of C squad, surrounded the residence and arrested Putney, who has ran from law enforcement in the past, without incident.
Putney, who was hiding in a rear bedroom, faces the same charges as Jones and was jailed on $30,000 bond. He and Jones have July 25 court dates.
