Trucker cited in crash which led to spill

A Wallace truck driver was cited for a safe movement violation in a Monday crash which caused 2,500 gallons of hog waste to spill onto the roadway in Northampton County.

A $5,000 reward has been established through the governor’s office in the fatal Christmas Eve beating last year of an 85-year-old man in Severn.

Hog waste spilled after rig overturns

A tractor-trailer carrying hog waste overturned this afternoon, leaking approximately 2,500 gallons.

As the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a series of fights Monday at the county high school in Gaston, Sheriff Jack Smith confirmed this afternoon approximately 40 students were involved.

Larceny attempt in RR leads to chase, crash

Man charged in Gaston ABC Store B&E

A Gaston man was arrested Sunday morning after reportedly breaking into the town’s ABC Store and stealing two bottles of gin.

Halifax Regional Medical Center staff and a medical examiner observed burn marks, abrasions and bruising on a 4-year-old Seaboard boy whose mother is currently charged with intentional felony child abuse causing serious bodily injury.
